Stay-cations.
What is a stay-cation?Well, you go out and enjoy some adventures, then you go home to sleep in your own bed!
I typically find anything within 90 minutes fits my idea of a stay-cation. You can do a day trip, a weekend trip or make a week out of it. It is all dependent on your time.
Stay-cations are already thrifty because you are NOT paying for hotel, camp site or airbnb each night. However, your stay-cation can be tailored to fit into the budget that works best for your household budgets. You can choose to eat out, eat at home, pack a lunch. Whatever works of you.
What do you like to do? Many inexpensive stay-cations include visiting local libraries, City, County, State or National parks to drive through, hike and just explore. Walk along a local river walk, explore murals and sculptures along the way. Museums can be amazing! There are many budget friendly museums to explore. If you have children, splash pads, playgrounds, beaches, sledding and hiking are so low-cost options.
Of course if your budget allows it. Amusement parks, water parks, tours, look at options for a local City-Pass.
Or, you can sit home and read a lovely book, relax and recharge.
Whatever you do have YOUR version of great vacation!
